There was a time when working remotely was available only for small group of people and professions, now this all changed and there is a variety of jobs which will allow you to work from comfort of your own home or any other place different to regular office.

It must be said that world is getting digital. Internet and technology are filling our lives, they getting faster, more advance and therefor they helping us with day to day life making it simplistic.

I have prepared a list of some jobs which can be done remotely. Let’s begin.

  1. Sales person

That’s right, you don’t need to work in actual shop showing products or services, you can do it all from your sofa. Many companies are searching for workers who can work from home, all you need is a computer, internet access, phone and that’s it pretty much.

  1. Consultant

If you have an experience in specific field then you may want to consider it with other people. To give an idea, if you are accountant, lawyer or IT support person you can provide advice to small businesses for a fee.

  1. Copy writer

You can write copy for businesses from comfort of your own home. There are internet platforms like Fiverr or Upwork which will allow you to find your customers.

  1. Data entry

You can earn money by inputting data for businesses, it may not sound as most exciting job but you do not need any previous experience and there is always demand for simple task which involves data input.

  1. Internet shop owner

There are different business models which can allow you to start your own internet venture. You can do drop shipping, wholesaling, manufacturing of goods, white-labeling or have subscriptions. You do not need any expertise in programming thanks to sites like Shopify or WooCommerce which can get you up and running pretty quick.

  1. Graphic Designer

Many businesses are looking for someone who can design their website, create logos or make visual ads. If you have experience in this field you can certainly find a good paying job. The more skilled you are, more clients you will get.

  1. Online Teacher

If you are a teacher you can think of moving your profession to internet, thanks to zoom, skype and google you can not only do one to one sessions but also teach entire class, all from your home. On top of that you can scale this business by simply creating pre-recorded sessions or courses.

  1. Tester

If you have any experience in that field you can became a tester in many industries, you can test websites, games, products and services.

  1. Writing gigs

Businesses are in need of written content, you can create blog posts, website copies, courses or even eBooks.

  1. Web Developer

Developers, based on experience and skills can always find lucrative contents which requires expertise. More experience you have, there is a chance that more you will make.

  1. Virtual recruiter

Many companies outsource this role and get the person to find new employees for them. You most likely be responsible for finding a right employee and screening applicant to make sure it will fit with the job description.

  1. Voice Acting

If you have a good, clear voice, you can became a voice actor and read content on podcasts, radio, TV programs and so on, you can even read ebooks if you will be employed or contracted by company who is looking people for that role.

  1. Virtual Assistant

If you are organised person and can handle many office duties like replying to emails, managing the calendar, staying on top of the schedule, this job will be ideal for you.

  1. Translator

Are you fluent in any another language? You can make a living off this skill by translating documents, websites, books as well as conversations.

  1. Travel Agent

Most of the holidays are now purchased online, you can became a travel agent or open your own agency and get in touch with hotels who has their services on offer.

  1. Survey taker

This is good as a side hustle as it won’t make you rich. You are usually paid for your time when you take an opinion poll, review products or fill random surveys.

If you are an expert of social media you can get to companies who are looking for someone who will manage their social media accounts, there is an opportunity to make great links and setup complete media strategy for new firms.

This is a little different and it is considered as manual work. If you can fix bikes, cars, computers etc you can put the advert and do it all from your home without actually having a repair shop.

  1. Programmer

If you learn a programmer language, such as Python or Ruby, you can make lucrative salary. There are always companies who are looking for good programmers.

  1. Photographer/Videographer

This will require you to leave your house and attend events like weddings. Everyone has a camera these days but not everyone is capable of take professional photos or videos. There will always be demand for good photographers and videographers. Once you takes pictures or videos, you will spend time editing them at your home anyway.

  1. Internet Security Specialist

In that job, you monitor networks for any security threats and you implement new security standards. Due to so much exposure to fraud these days, this job is certainly expected to grow steadily over the next few years.

  1. Handmade Crafter

Do you have a skill in making handmade products like jewellery, clothes or furniture? If so advertise these skills online and get new customers. Etsy is a great internet platform for any of these.

  1. Event Planner

Depend on occasion and event you can make money by planning weddings, parties or corporate gatherings. People are generally looking for organised individuals who can do all the planning for them.

  1. Editing and Proofreading

Do you have an eye to spot any errors in text? Are you good in grammar? Great, there are many companies who will pay for someone to proofread their documents, texts, books and so on and get rid of any mistakes.

  1. Bookkeeper

To become a bookkeeper you just need a course which you also can complete online. Why not doing a research in this field now?

  1. Accountant

To become an accountant you will actually need to have either a degree or certification as you will be looking after someone’s finances. There are many studies which you can start at home and become a certified accountant in short period of time.

  1. Blogger

Blogging is one of the easiest jobs to start, as long as there is something which interest you, you can write about in, make sure you are consistent in what you do and allow 1-2 years to this before it will succeed.

  1. Affiliate marketer

It is simply referral marketing when you earn commission on product you helped selling. You can refer people to websites and services and get a percentage every time you do so. It is a good idea if you are interested in earning money passively.

  1. Babysitter

Yes, you can do it from your own home. Many parents will be happy to drop their kids to you. If you are usually at home during the day and have plenty of spare time you can easily do some childcare for someone else’s child.

  1. Pet sitter

Like sitting with children, you can also look after someone’s pets in your own home. It is much easier than babysitting and can be fun, therapeutic experience which will allow you to earn some spare cash.

When browsing for jobs you can do remotely, stay alert for any scams as there are still loads of people up there who will try to take advantage of you, always do your own research to make sure a person and company who promise something which you want is real and genuine. Remember, if something is too good to be true, it isn’t !
